Biography

Get to know me better

My name is Eric Chatigny and I am forty-three years old. I now live in the Laurentians, but I was born in Quebec City on February 13th 1975. I was raised on l'île d'Orléans. As you can see, I have brown eyes and brown hair. I am 5,8 feet tall. I'm serious, organized and hard-working. My wife and I don't have kids, but we have a cat: Cachou. Cachou is grey. He is 18 years old.

I like hiking and running, but most of all, I like nature. That is why I studied sciences in high school and Cegep before registering at McGill University in the meteorology program. Even though I still liked sciences, at that time, I soon got sick of Mathematics and Physics and gave up the old dream of becoming a meteorologist. However, weather has always been my passion. You can visit my personal weather website: Météo Laurentides or listem to me on Cime FM, sometimes. I also like designing and operating websites.

In 1995, I packed my things and I travelled a bit in order to improve my English. I went to Vancouver and worked as a salesperson for a company called Cows. If you ever want a really good ice cream or a very funny 100% coton t-shirt, go to Cows! I spent the summer of 1998 working for Cows again. This time, I worked in Charlottown.

Then, I came back home and registered at Laval University in the English teaching program. During my studies, I worked as a waiter for a fabulous restaurant called Le Canard huppé. It is one of the best restaurants in Quebec city.

I graduated from Laval University in 1999 and I started teaching in 2000 in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts for la Commission Scolaire des Laurentides. I am  currently teaching English at École Secondaire Curé-Mercure in Mont-Tremblant.
